Pennsylvania state police say two people were killed while five others were injured in a shooting incident Tuesday night in Philadelphia that prompted the closure of the northbound lanes of I-95.
At least 70 shots were fired around 8:30 p.m. in the north part of the city, reported 6ABCNews.
Seven Hispanic men 19 to 38 years old were taken to local hospitals, said the Philadelphia Police Department.
Two died from their injuries. They were 31-years-old and 38-years-old. Their names have not been released.
Four people are in critical condition and only one person was said to be in stable condition.
No arrests
Three firearms were recovered from the scene, said the police and no arrests were made. The police added that the investigation is "active and ongoing with the Homicide Detective Division".
Interim Police Commissioner John Stanford had said that several firearms and narcotics were recovered from the scene, reported 6ABC.
However, a motive behind the shooting was not yet known, said the police chief.

I-95 reopened after being closed
Meanwhile, a portion of I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia that was earlier closed for traffic as the police investigated the incident has now been opened for traffic, said Philadelphia's Office of Emergency Management.
However, the emergency management office has said that travelers can "expect residual delays".
Earlier on Wednesday, the I-95 had been closed for traffic, with cars being diverted off the roadway due to shooting investigation.
All northbound lanes between Exit 26/Besty Ross Bridge to New Jersey and Exit 32/Academy Road/Linden Ave had been closed "due to police activity," said the office.
They had also warned travelers of delays and advised motorist to "consider alternate routes and allow for additional travel time".
The police have requested anyone with information to contact them at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
